Weitz Promotes Distefano to Vice President

Omaha, Neb. (May 27, 2008)

The Weitz Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Rhonda Distefano to Vice President.

The construction imdustry is traditionally male-dominated and Distefano is the first operations based female executive in The Weitz Company.

Her role includes complete responsibility for all preconstruction and estimatiing services within Weitz's Omaha office.

Distefano is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Construction Engineering. She joined Weitz in 1984 and previously worked as a project engineer, project manager and preconstruction manager.
