The Weitz Company served as the general contractor for this major tenant improvement project for Wells Fargo Banks. Twelve floors and two areas, Private Client Services and the executive offices, underwent demolition, with some floors requiring removing mold contaminated materials. New installation included cabinetry, trim, doors, frames, hardware, gypsum partitions, ceiling, flooring, window treatments, fire sprinklers, air handling units, ductwork, VAVs, exterior louvers, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and security per new layout, and specifications for each floor.
This project required careful coordination and detailed communication between the owner, architect and Weitz, as three floors were dedicated to serving as swing space and each deadline had to meet the established time frame. Floors housing server rooms for phone and data had small areas that were demolished, cleaned and underwent new installations prior to beginning work on the remaining part of floor.
This project constists of the renovation of floors one through 11 and 16 of the Financial Center building and floors two and three of the adjacent Fleming building totaling approximately 187,000 square feet. These floors consist of general office, executive office, banking and processing areas. The renovations include demolition of the majority of existing interior millwork, doors, frames, walls, ceilings, flooring, ductwork, air handling units, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and security wiring on the renovated floors.
